Women’s Health Screening

Women’s health screenings are important to make sure you are aware of your overall health, as well as finding any underlying issues before they become a risk to your health. That’s why regular screenings are vital to a woman’s overall health. Here at Alium Health, we provide a full women’s health screening service.

What Does A Women’s Health Screening Involve?

During a women’s health screening visit, a healthcare provider typically conducts a comprehensive examination and assessment of a woman's overall health. This includes:

  1. Medical History: The healthcare provider will begin by asking the woman about any existing medical conditions, past surgeries, medications, and family medical history. This information helps the provider understand the woman's health background and identify any potential risk factors or issues to address.

  2. Contraception and Family Planning: The visit often includes discussions about contraception methods and family planning. The provider may offer information on different birth control options and help the woman choose the most suitable method based on her preferences and medical considerations.

  3. Health Counseling: There will often be discussions about lifestyle factors and health promotion. The healthcare provider may guide you on nutrition, exercise, stress management, and other topics to support overall well-being.

  4. Follow-up and Referrals: If any abnormalities or concerns are identified during the visit, the healthcare provider may recommend further tests, additional appointments, or referrals to specialists for further evaluation or treatment.
